Saada witnesses collective wedding of 660 grooms, brides

SAADA, Nov. 10 (YPA) – The Saada province witnessed on Thursday a mass wedding of 660 grooms and brides, within the framework of the third mass wedding, which was organized by the General Authority for Zakat.

At the ceremony, which was held in the Great Prophet Square, member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, congratulated the grooms for this great joy.

“It is the pride of the Yemeni people that the enemies of Yemen become afraid of these collective weddings, and this indicates their weakness,” he said.

The Supreme Political Council member stressed that it is important for people to be aware of the war being waged today on society with the aim of disrupting it.

Al-Houthi added:”While the Yemeni people went to celebrate mass weddings, others went to satanic celebrations that do not reflect the origin and culture of society, whether in Hijaz or elsewhere.”

He expressed his hope that the Zakat Authority would have such projects in the areas under occupation, because there are a lot of poor people.

In turn, the Governor of Saada, Mohammed Jaber Awadh, welcomed the attendees at the mass wedding, confirming that these blessed weddings are among the fruits of the wisdom of the revolution leader and the September 21 revolution that brought security and stability to the people.

Awadh appreciated the efforts of the Zakat Authority, which made qualitative leaps in addressing the needs of the poor, the needy and the sick.
