Qana oil port paralyzed after Sanaa’s military operation

SHABWA, Nov. 10 (YPA) – The oil port of Qana, in Shabwa province, eastern Yemen, was paralyzed after the strike carried out by Sanaa forces Wednesday to prevent the looting of crude oil, local sources in Shabwa said on Thursday.

The sources said that the ship brought by the Saudi-led coalition left the port, after its mission failed to load quantities of Yemen’s crude oil through the Qana port.

The spokesman for the Sanaa forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, had announced at dawn Thursday the success of a new warning strike to prevent the looting of crude oil in Shabwa province.

Sarie said that the targeted ship refused to respond to the repeated warnings sent by the Sanaa forces to it.

This is the second warning strike carried out by the Sanaa forces to prevent the looting of Yemeni crude oil, after a similar strike carried out on October 22 on the oil port of Al-Dhaba in the east of the country.
