Transport Minister stresses importance of electronic collection of land transport fees

SANAA, Nov. 05 (YPA) – The Minister of Transport, Abdulwahab Al-Durra, stressed the importance of electronic collection of land transport resources through post offices.

This came during his meeting with Bayda governor Abdullah Idris, to discuss the mechanism of electronic collection of land transport fees in the province.

In the meeting, the minister affirmed the significance of making use of technology to facilitate the procedures for collecting and controlling resources, especially in the field of land transport, in implementation of the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council to automate administrative and financial work in the state sectors.

He praised the cooperation of the local authority in Bayda in facilitating the work of the branch of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority, which contributes to alleviating congestion and organizing lines in the province.
