STC confiscates new shipment of weapons to Islah party in Lahj

LAHJ, Nov. 06 (YPA) – Militias of the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) confiscated a new shipment of weapons to Islah party in Lahj province, south of Yemen.

Southern media outlets quoted tribal sources as saying that the STC had directed the formation of a military and security committee from its militias to receive a shipment seized by tribal gunmen in Al-Maqatirah district on the Lahj-Taiz border.

Tribal sources reported that the committee reached the outskirts of Lahj and transferred the shipment containing various ammunitions and various weapons to Aden.

Earlier, Taiz axis, which is affiliated with Islah, announced that the STC militia seized a shipment on its way from Marib to Taiz, but Emirati-funded media questioned the shipment and accused the party of trying to smuggle it to what it described as “Houthis.”
