President Al-Mashat congratulates Algerian counterpart on National Day
SANAA, Oct. 31 (YPA) – The President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Monday sent a congratulatory cable to President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Algerian Liberation Revolution.
In the cable, President Al-Mashat expressed his congratulations to his Algerian counterpart on the occasion of his country’s celebrations of the 68th anniversary of the glorious November 1 revolution, wishing him continued health, and the brotherly Algerian people progress and prosperity.
He pointed out that the November 1 revolution represented a historic event in the march of the Algerian people and a culmination of the long history of the Algerian struggle against French colonialism.
“Since the victory of the glorious Algerian revolution, Algeria has become at the forefront of countries in advocating the right of peoples to freedom and independence, paying a major interest in the Palestinian cause and the issues of the Arab and Islamic nation,” he said.
He added, “We in Yemen are following up the preparation of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to host the Arab Summit, and on this occasion we call upon the members of the Algeria Summit to support the Palestinian people.”
President Al-Mashat confirmed that Yemen aspires for Algeria and the leaders of the Arab countries to stand with the will of the Yemeni people and their legitimate right to end the aggression and lift the siege that has been going on for nearly 8 years and restore its sovereignty and purify its lands from foreign occupation.
At the conclusion of the cable, President Al-Mashat expressed pride in the history and brotherhood between the brotherly Yemeni and Algerian peoples, wishing the Algerian government and people further progress and prosperity.
