Coalition militias detain tribal leader in Marib`

MARIB, Feb. 3 (YPA) – Militias  loyal to the Saudi-led coalition on Friday detained a well-known tribal leader in Yemen’s central province of Marib, tribal sources said.

Abdullah al-Thahab, the leading tribal leader from nearby Bayda province was arrested and jailed by the so-called commander of the coalition-run central security camp, said the sources.

  Al-Thahab has sided with the coalition since the coalition intervened in Yemen three years ago. But reasons behind his arrest have yet be disclosed.
