Cold, dry weather expected to hit several Yemeni provinces

SANAA, Oct. 30 (YPA) – The weather is expected to be cold and dry in several provinces of Yemen during the next 24 hours, the National Center of Meteorology said.

The Center stated in its weather bulletin on Sunday that the skies of the provinces of Bayda, Dhamar, Amran, Sanaa, Saada, Abyan, Lahj, Ibb and Dhalea would be cold and dry, noting that the minimum temperatures in those provinces would range between 3 to 9 degrees Celsius.

According to the center, active to strong winds with speeds ranging between 15-30 knots be likely to blow over the southern Red Sea, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab and the western Gulf of Aden.

It called on the elderly, children, the sick, and workers to take the necessary precautions to prevent cold weather.
