SHABWA, Oct. 11 (YPA) – A violent explosion rocked on Tuesday a military position of the UAE-backed militias in Shabwa province, eastern Yemen.
Tribal sources said that an explosive device planted in a military patrol of the so-called “Shabwa Defense Forces” militia exploded while the patrol was passing near a military site of the militia in the Al-Masyna’a area in Al-Saeed district, east of Ataq city.
It is not yet known whether the explosion resulted in casualties.
This comes a few days after similar explosions targeted the UAE-backed militias in Shabwa, amid direct accusations against al-Qaeda and Islah Party militants of being behind the attacks.
