Al-Houthi reacts to extremism of Security Council

SANAA, Oct. 06 (YPA) – Member of the supreme political council in Sanaa, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, has on late Wednesday reacted to a statement issued by the UN Security Council on the failure of extending and expanding the humanitarian and military truce in Yemen under the auspices of the United Nations.

In a series of tweets on his Twitter account, Mohammed al-Houthi described the Security Council’s statement as “extremist.”

“It is not an extremism to lift the siege on Yemen, it is not an extremism to pay the salaries of state’s employees from oil revenues, and it is not an extremism to lift the ban on passengers to Sana’a airport from all destinations,” al-Houthi said.

Houthi added: “Extremism is the statement of the Security Council.”

Al-Houthi concluded his tweets by saying: “If the disbursement of salaries is an extremism, the armed forces have another bank from which they have already been disbursed, referring to the long range missiles that have hit Saudi Arabia an d UAE .
