Pro-UAE militias’ leader killed in Abyan armed confrontations

ABYAN, Oct.04 (YPA) – A leader was killed in armed confrontations between the Saudi-led coalition’s militia in Shakra city of Abyan province, south of Yemen.

Local sources familiar with the matter said that clashes erupted on Sunday between members of the “UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia inside Shakra camp, which it seized at the end of last August and led to the killing of the leader, Abdullah Halboub, one of the escorts of the leader, Karam Al-Mashreqi, who was assassinated in Aden, at the end of last March.

The sources indicated that the confrontations erupted due to verbal altercations that developed into armed confrontations between the militia’s elements.
