Sanaa confirms insistence on restoring employee salaries despite all pressures
SANAA, Oct. 04 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister in the Sanaa government, Hussein Al-Ezzi, on Tuesday said that despite all the pressures, Sanaa is determined to restore public sector salaries in all of Yemen on a regular and sustainable basis, stressing “the rights of our people are sacred.”
Al-Ezzi said in a tweet on his Twitter page: “With regard to the salaries of six years that were looted, instead of sticking to recovering them in one go, we can give them the opportunity to commit to returning them in stages. This is undoubtedly a high flexibility, and it is credited to the great Sanaa.”
He added that what was mentioned is related to any new armistice.
“As for what is related to sustainable peace, it is always dependent on stopping the aggressive war, ending the siege and occupation completely, reconstruction, addressing the effects and repercussions of the war and permanent respect for the sovereignty and independence of Yemen,” he said.
