SOCOTRA, Sept. 27 (YPA) – An agency affiliated with the Zionist entity has acquired tourism on the occupied Yemeni island of Socotra, located in the Indian Ocean.
Local sources familiar with the matter said that one of the Zionist tourism agencies based in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, during the past weeks, introduced various tourist yachts to the port of Hulav in Socotra, indicating that the inauguration of the agency’s work was attended by “Khalifa Foundation”, the UAE intelligence arm on the island.
The sources reported that the Zionist agency had acquired coastal tourism, diving and other activities, in addition to other agencies established by the Emirates, and granted it the right to allow foreign tourists to enter Socotra through its offices in Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv.
In mid-September, activists revealed, quoting eyewitnesses, the presence of various marine yachts and small boats flying foreign flags, including the flag of the United States of America, on the coasts of the Delesha area 5 km east of Hadibo, the capital of the island.
About 5-8 people, including women, are roaming through small boats the coast of the island without knowing the work they are doing, amid complete silence by the coalition-backed government, including the Al-Alimi Council, who did not pay attention to the occupation of Socotra and other islands and airports in the southern provinces, but they aimed the arrows of their enemies towards Sanaa, rejecting the occupation, aggression and siege imposed on the Yemeni people to end.
The UAE has imposed its control over the island of Socotra through its intelligence elements in the “Khalifa Foundation” that is not concerned with humanitarian affairs, as well as the Emirates Red Crescent under the pretext of helping the people of the island after Tropical Cyclone Chapala in the year 2016, to make the Socotra archipelago after its militias took control of the city Hadibo in June 2020 a joint military base with the navy of the Zionist entity, and its acquisition of 6 oil sectors on Abd al-Kuri Island.
