Al-Sabiha gunmen attack UAE-backed militias’ military points in Lahj

LAHJ, Sept. 27 (YPA) – Al-Sabiha tribesmen attacked on Tuesday the UAE-funded militia military points in the Lahj province, south of Yemen, threatening open war near the coast of Bab Al-Mandab Strait.

Tribal sources confirmed that the attack came after the “Security Belt” militia of the “Southern Transitional Council, funded by the Emirates, kidnapped four citizens of the sons of Al-Sabiha on the main road in Tur Al-Baha area, west of Lahj, and looted their property and transferred them to an unknown destination.

The sources stated that Al-Sabiha tribes mobilized their gunmen in the face of the “STC” militia led by “Saleh Al-Sayed Al-Yafei” in Lahj, amid reports that the tribes had taken control of three points belonging to the STC militia in Tur Al-Baha, demanding the release of their sons unconditionally.

In a statement, Al-Sabiha tribes threatened the STC with open confrontations and an end to the kidnapping and looting of travelers in the province.

The killings and looting travelers’ property have expanded on the Tur Al-Baha road, west of Lahj, which links provinces of Taiz and Aden, over the past years, without taking any measures by the coalition-backed government.
