Sanaa official outlines Yemen’s future regional role amid historic transformations

SANAA, Sept. 30 (YPA) – A senior official in the Sanaa-based government has outlined the features of upcoming historic transformations in the region and Yemen’s position in them.

Dhamar governor and Ansarullah Political Bureau member Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti affirmed that Yemen is going through one of the most important moments and stages in its history, saying the process extends beyond restoring the country’s sovereignty and independence to reclaiming its regional role and becoming an influential player at both the regional and international levels.

In his latest video appearance, Al-Bukhaiti reviewed the historical stages and events Yemen has experienced, as well as Western efforts, led by the United States, and their interventions to support Saudi dominance aimed at keeping Yemen weak and under US tutelage.

He maintained that the war and blockade imposed on Yemen since the 2014 revolution are being carried out by the same adversaries, in cooperation with their domestic proxies represented by the Riyadh-aligned government, while drawing in regional and international powers.
