Health minister meets Int’l Orgs representatives

SANAA, June 25 (YPA) – Minister of Health Taha al-Mutawakel met on Monday with representatives of the international humanitarian organizations to discuss the urgent humanitarian and medical situation in Hodeidah province.

At the meeting, the officials  discussed an emergency situation in the medical sector, which suffers a shortage of medical supplies that caused by the military escalation carried out by the Saudi-led coalition forces on the western coast front.

The meeting stressed on the necessity to provide the medical and medicines supplies, and ambulances to receive the critical cases of wounded because of the coalition escalation against the civilians.

The minister reaffirmed on the international organizations operating in Yemen would move speedily for the emergency humanitarian response and providing the needs of the health sector in Hodeidah, which is suffering from a catastrophic situation due to the military escalation of the coalition.

Al- Mutawakel affirmed on the importance to strengthen the coordination between the ministry and international organizations to alleviate form the suffering of the Yemeni people.
