Local official stresses need for monitoring coalition’s violations

AMRAN, June 25 (YPA) – Undersecretary of Amran province, Ameen Firas, on Monday stressed the need to monitor crimes committed by Saudi-led coalition against citizens, in a flagrant violation of laws, norms and international humanitarian law.

The province’s undersecretary visited the wounded of the massacre committed by the coalition warplanes on Sunday evening in a residential neighborhood in the city of Amran.

Sunday airstrikes claimed lives of nine civilians, including eight member of single family, and injured over 15 others, according to medics.

Firas, accompanied by representatives of humanitarian organizations, paid a visit also to the targeted neighborhood and he was acquainted with the damage caused to the citizens’ homes there.

The coalition fighter jets also waged two raids on the Telecommunications Administration, two others on headquarters of the Security Directorate, and a raid on the Ninth Brigade camp in the city.
