Minister of Transport stresses importance of focusing on strategic projects

SANAA, Sept. 19 (YPA) – Deputy Minister of Transport, Mohammed Al-Hashemi, stressed the importance of focusing on strategic projects in the field of land transport to advance this sector.

At a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Land Transport Regulatory Authority on Monday, Al-Hashemi urged the authority’s leadership to pay attention to priority projects including in the authority’s plan this year, in a way that contributes to making a qualitative leap in the field of land transport and alleviating the suffering of the citizen.

He referred to the leadership’s aspirations to have advanced services and modern projects in land transport, praising the start of electronic collection steps to upgrade the service level and avoid random collection.

Al-Hashemi pointed out that the development plans for land transport projects being implemented in phases, as they would be strategic and investment projects including dry ports in the capital Sanaa to organize transport and reduce congestion.
