Son of “Afash” appears in Al-Qaeda camp

SANAA, Sept. 15 (YPA) – A son of the UAE-backed military leader, “Tariq Afash,” has appeared inside one of Al-Qaeda camps, in a scandal that revealed who was behind these elements.

Activists on social media circulated a picture of the son of Tariq Afash, Muhammad, from his wife, whom he married secretly, while he is in an al-Qaeda camp, before he joined Zayed II Military College in Abu Dhabi, from which he graduated as part of the 46th batch in early February.

Tariq Afash’s son, “Mohammed,” had contacted his uncle, “Ammar Afash,” who held the position of “National Security Undersecretary” during the previous period, who had attached him to a terrorist element, according to activists and local media.

The activists indicated that Tariq Afash was forced to withdraw his son Muhammad from the al-Qaeda camp, without specifying his whereabouts, to be sent to study at Zayed Military College, at the end of 2019.

Political and military observers accuse Ammar Afash of being behind the movement of terrorist elements, and of mixing papers in front of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s project in the southern provinces, which demands the return of Yemen to before May 22, 1990.
