HADRAMOUT, Sept. 13 (YPA) – Dozens of Wadi Hadramout residents called for on Tuesday in a protest rally the exit of Islah Party’s “First Military Region” militants from the province.
In the rally, the demonstrators loyal to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias got out in the streets of Tarim city, chanting slogans against the presence of Islah militants in the districts of Wadi.
The protesters raised banners calling for the militants to leave and to replace them with the “Hadrami Elite” militia, affiliated with the UAE.
The “STC” is heading to control the Hadramout Valley’s oil districts, amid military preparations by Islah militants for confrontation with the support and funding of the leadership of the Saudi forces present in Seiyun.
