Sanaa, UN discuss ongoing repercussions due to war, siege on Yemen

SANAA, Sept. 12 (YPA) – Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, discussed with David Grisley, the UN Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen, the repercussions of the continuation of the war and siege that increase suffering of the Yemeni people.

In a meeting, Maqbouli touched on the importance of the United Nations taking a position regarding the non-compliance of the aggression countries to implement the declared truce, by detention of oil derivatives ships, and the failure to open Sanaa airport completely.

Dr. Maqbouli called on the United Nations to carry out its duty to pressure the Saudi-led aggression coalition to allow entry of ships of oil derivatives and food commodities, as rights guaranteed to the Yemeni people.

He held the coalition countries and the United Nations fully responsible for the continuation of the aggression and siege on Yemen.

They also discussed aspects related to the repercussions of the aggression countries’ continuation in preventing the entry of oil derivatives and foodstuff ships to the port of Hodeida on the health, service and environmental fields.
