Pro-coalition leader escapes security pursuit in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Sept. 10 (YPA) – Leader of Islah Party in Hadramout province, was subjected on Saturday to a security pursuit by pro-Emirati elements in the city of Mukalla.

Local sources confirmed that elements of the so-called “anti-terrorism” backed by the UAE tried to arrest the head of the Islah party in the city of Mukalla, Salah Batis, a week after his arrival in the city from Turkey.

Special elements on military vehicles that left UAE-held Al Rayyan Airport, to arrest Batis, who is accused of supporting and financing terrorist elements, but extensive contacts made by Hadramout governor, appointed by the Saudi-led coalition, Mabkhout bin Madi, and other military and political figures, prevented the arrest.

Batis had met the leader of the “First Military Region” loyal to the Islah party, during his arrival at the province coming from Turkey, before Batis appeared alongside the governor of Hadramout Mabkhout, at the headquarters of the “Second Military Region” in the city of Mukalla.

On Twitter, Batis sent a message to the leaders of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) from the sons of Dhalea, hinting that the time of dependence, surrender and submission to Hadramout had gone.

Earlier in the day, the STC’s militias had carried out a campaign to confiscate weapons from tribesmen loyal to the Islah party in Al-Saeid district, southwest of Ataq city.
