Scattered showers expected on Yemen provinces within coming hours

SANAA, Sept. 08 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology is expected rain of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, over the western and southwestern highlands during the next 24 hours.

The center stated in its weather bulletin on Thursday that rain would be heavy in areas of the provinces of Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Raymah, Dhamar, parts of Mahweet and Hajjah, Bayda, Abyan, and Shabwa.

He pointed to the possibility of scattered showers on parts of the western, eastern and southern coasts, especially the coasts of Mahra, Hadramout and Abyan, while high-speed winds ranging between 25-45 knots in the Socotra archipelago.

He warned citizens not to be presented in the valley and water ways , calling motorists to drive carefully as a result of low range of horizontal visibility on mountainous.
