One Palestinian killed, 17 others injured by Israeli occupation gunfire in West Bank

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Sept. 08 (YPA) – At least one Palestinian was killed and over 17 others injured on Thursday by Israeli occupation forces gunfire near the village of Beitin, northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, in conjunction with the Israeli’s incursion into the city of Nablus, Palestine Today News Agency reported on, citing sources.

According to the sources, a citizen was killed by the occupation gunfire at the entrance of the village of Beitin, and near the Beit El military checkpoint, which is located on the territory of the city of Al-Bireh.

The sources added that the occupation forces reinforced their presence at the checkpoint and in its surroundings, stopped the vehicles of citizens, impeded their passage and checked their identity cards.

On the other hand, large forces of the occupation army stormed the eastern area of Nablus in the northern occupied Bank.

According to local sources , more than 50 military vehicles,  in addition to large military reinforcements stormed east of Nablus in the vicinity of Balata camp and Joseph’s Tomb.

The sources added that the occupation army deployed units of snipers near Joseph’s Tomb and Amman Street. Moreover, Zionist Drones dropped smoke and sound bombs at the gates of Balata camp.

The same sources indicated Palestinian resistance fighters showered the invading Zionist  forces with bullets in the same area.
