Parliament condemns continued crimes of coalition against prisoners

SANAA, Sept. 07 (YPA) – The Parliament, in its session Wednesday headed by Speaker Yahya al-Ra’i, denounced the torture and violations committed by the Saudi-led coalition forces against the prisoners.

In this regard, the Parliament referred that the latest of those crimes was the torture of the prisoner Nabil Muhammad Hajes al-Khouli until his death in one of the prisons of the coalition forces, whose body arrived in Sanaa after three years of captivity.

The Parliament considered this crime one of a series of coalition crimes against the prisoners, and comes in light of the announced truce, in a flagrant violation of all international laws, norms and covenants related to human rights.

The Parliament called on the United Nations to assume its humanitarian and moral responsibilities in protecting the prisoners and holding the perpetrators of crimes against them accountable.
