Sanaa’s military delegation stresses need to implement humanitarian file before any military negotiations

SANAA, Sept. 01 (YPA) – Head of the Sanaa military delegation to discuss violations of the armistice and the opening of roads, Major General Yahya Al-Razami, stressed the need to complete and implement the humanitarian file before any military negotiations.

In a press conference was held on Thursday at Sanaa airport during his return, with the accompanying delegation, from Amman, the capital of Jordan, he said, “It is our priority to complete the humanitarian file represented in the payment of salaries, lifting restrictions on airports and ports, and lifting the siege on Yemen completely before engaging in any other discussions or agreements in the military file.”

Al-Razami stressed, “We told the mediators that a truce without salaries is useless, and salaries cannot be overlooked, as they are a legitimate right and a basic demand.”

Al-He explained, the Sanaa delegation held a number of exceptional, unofficial meetings with the international mediators without achieving any positive results, so that some other parties affiliated with the other side disavowed the implementation of the concluded understandings.

He pointed out that there were negative positions on the part of some international mediators regarding the reluctance of the other parties and their relentless efforts to put their interests ahead of the interests of the great Yemeni people through their rejection of everything had been proposed.

Maj. Gen. Al-Razami denounced the statement of the UN representative, which was biased clearly towards the other parties regarding the systematic state of escalation represented by creating new sites and carrying out hostile and sabotage acts in Taiz province.

“Repeated correspondences and letters we sent to them and directed them to the UN envoy and his military advisor regarding military developments and hostilities in Mount Hal in the Al-Dhabab area in Taiz,” The head of the military delegation said.

“If the United Nations and its envoy to Yemen are serious and keen on Yemen and its people, they must issue a statement clarifying to the local and international public opinion who is the evading party and the premeditated attempt to thwart these negotiations.”

Al-Razami added, “We assure the great Yemeni people that the Leader of the Revolution, the Political Council and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense are keen to achieve the demands of the Yemeni people in disbursing salaries, opening airports and ports, and lifting the siege, and this is a right that cannot be waived.”

The head of the military delegation expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the leadership and people, for hosting the fourth round of negotiations.
