Amiri decree Kuwaiti voters to elect National Assembly

KUWAIT, Aug. 28 (YPA) – An Amiri Decree was issued on Sunday calling on Kuwaiti voters to elect members of the National Assembly (Parliament) on September 29.

According to Decree No. 147 of 2022, which stipulates inviting voters to elect members of the National Assembly on Thursday, Rabi’ al-Awwal 3, 1444 AH, corresponding to September 29, 2022, it also stipulates that the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister implement this decree, and it comes into force from the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette.

This step comes after the previous parliament was dissolved on August 2.
