Islah party hints to uprising against Riyadh-formed Presidential Council

ADEN, Aug. 25 (YPA) – The Islah party (the Yemeni branch of the Muslim Brotherhood) has stepped up its attack on Riyadh-formed presidential council, threatening to topple the council formed by the Saudi-Emirati coalition.

According to Belqees TV’s report on Wednesday, the Yemeni people will not be silent about the practices of the Riyadh-formed Presidential Council against state institutions and the plundering of wealth.

Al-Alimi will soon find himself in direct confrontation with the Yemenis, in an explicit hint of a new popular uprising to overthrow the Riyadh Council, the report said.

Al-Alimi’s decisions have become provocative to most of the parties loyal to the  Saudi-led coalition, the report said,  pointing to the expansion of armed confrontations throughout the southern provinces to counter what he described as the “outbreak” of Emirati factions.

The hints coincide with Islah factions’ attempts to restore its military and political presence in the southern provinces, after they were expelled from their  most prominent strongholds in Shabwa and Abyan provinces.
