Islah gunmen kidnap activist in Taiz

TAIZ, Aug. 19 (YPA) – Saudi-backed Islah gunmen kidnapped on Friday a political activist in the center of the city of Taiz.

According to human rights sources, the gunmen from Islah’s “Taiz Axis”, on a military vehicle, kidnapped the activist Abdullah Abdo Othman Al-Ariqi, loyal to Tariq Afash backed by the UAE, in front of his house in the areas under Islah’s control, in the center of the city.

The kidnapping of the Al-Ariqi activist was the second, after he was kidnapped in early November 2021 by a leader in the 22nd Brigade of Islah, due to a pro-Tariq Afash post on social media.
