WORLD, Aug. 13 (YPA) – Former US President Donald Trump has announced that all documents found by the FBI during a search of his home in Mar-a-Lago, were declassified.
Trump posted a statement on his Truth Social platform Friday, saying: “First, everything has been declassified. Second, they did not need to confiscate anything from me. They could have had it at any time without the political games and the assault on Mar-a-Lago.”
Trump did not say when the documents in question were declassified.
The president of the United States has broad powers to classify or declassify documents. It has no right only to declassify documents related to the nuclear field.
The FBI searched the home of former US President Donald Trump on Monday, August 8.
According to media reports, the inspectors found confidential documents that were prohibited from being stored except in designated offices.
