Death toll of Israeli aggression on Gaza rises 44

GAZA, Aug. 08 (YPA) –  The Palestinian ministry  of health said that the death toll of the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip has risen to 44, include 15 children and 4 women, and 360 injured.

Israeli occupation forces had been launching airstrikes against the organization Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip since Friday.

The militant Palestinians responded with a barrage of rockets into toward the occupied territories in retaliation of the Zionist airstrikes.

One mediated by Egypt truce in the Gaza conflict came into force on Sunday evening at 11:30 p.m. local time (10:30 p.m. CEST).

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Zionist entity had previously announced the agreement separately.

The Zionist Prime Minister’s office announced that the ceasefire went into effect last night at 23:30, expressing his thanks to Egypt for its efforts that brought this result.

Islamic Jihad also welcomed the Egyptian efforts and declaration, stressing that it had joined the ceasefire from 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, while stressing the right to respond to any Zionist aggression.
