UAE-funded militias detain dozens of travelers in Shabwa

SHABWA, Aug. 07 (YPA) – The UAE forces-backed militias detained dozens of travelers, most of them from Taiz, on Sunday, at the entrances to Ataq city, the Shabwa provincial capital, in eastern Yemen.

Local sources in the city said that militants of the so-called Shabwa Defense backed by the UAE detained dozens of travelers from Taiz at the entrances to Ataq, coming from Aden, south of Yemen” adding that some of them were on their way to Marib.

The sources reported that the people of the northern provinces working in Shabwa faced regional campaigns by the “Shabwa Defense” militia and loyalists of the “Southern Transitional Council backed by the UAE, calling on them to leave the province.
