Son, woman injured in UAE-funded militia attack in Taiz

TAIZ, Aug. 05 (YPA) – A son and a woman were wounded on Friday when militia backed by UAE attacked and stormed a home in Mocha district of Taiz province, southwest of Yemen.

Local sources affirmed that the militia affiliated with the commander of the “Guards of the Republic”, Tariq Saleh, loyal to the UAE, kidnapped also a tribal sheikh during the attack on the home.

The sources said that “Tariq Saleh” forces attacked the house of Sheikh Khaled Youssef Al-Azaibi in the city of Mocha after shooting heavily, which led to injuring his son and a woman and causing extensive material damage to the house and other nearby houses.

in August 2021, Tariq Saleh militia attacked Al-Azaibi, who was into his land in the main street of the city, and killed his son to try to take over his ground by force.
