Global Times: Pelosi’s stubbornness marks the beginning of the end of US hegemony in the Taiwan Strait

WORLD, Aug. 02 (YPA) – Chinese political analysts say House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s stubbornness and selfishness will be the beginning of the end of US hegemony, and her possible visit to Taiwan could be quite counterproductive.

According to analysts’ poll by the Global Times, it is believed that Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan could irreversibly change the situation in the Taiwan Strait and speed up China’s reunification with the island, which they saw as in fact much more important than a US politician’s visit.

In this context, they concluded that Pelosi’s stubbornness and selfishness would be the beginning of the end of American hegemony.

Moreover, the paper quoted a military expert as saying that Chinese warplanes could even fire warning missiles at Pelosi’s plane if other warning forms did not affect them and force them to leave airspace.
