Industry Minister affirms ministry’s keenness to support mini projects

SANAA, July. 31 (YPA) – Minister of Industry and Trade, Mohammed Sharaf al-Mutahar, stressed on Sunday the ministry’s keenness to support mini projects in the capital Sanaa.

The minister said this step came based on the interest of the revolutionary and political leadership related to the economic aspect, which includes working to encourage local production and supporting small enterprises in order to achieve self-sufficiency.

This came during his meeting with a meeting held by the General Authority for the Development of Mini Enterprises.

He pointed out that supporting these enterprises would be one of the priorities of the ministry’s work, and the mainstay of countries’ economies to reduce unemployment, create job opportunities, advance development and expand the productive base.

The minister directed the speedy preparation of the annual operational plan for the authority, based on the basic objectives of the strategy and the matrix of initiatives, defining their targeted digital indicators annually, and conducting a review and interim evaluation process that would improve the performance of the authority.
