Meteorology Center warns residents of desert, coastal areas of hot weather

SANAA, April 26 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has warned residents of the deserts and coastal plains in the west of hot weather.

The center also warned in its weather forecast on Friday, seagoers, fishermen, and ship owners of turbulent seas and high waves on the south of the western coast, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.

The center called citizens to be away from the flow of torrents in the places, which to be expected to receive heavy rain in the coming hours.

The center said that it expects variable intensity rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in scattered areas of the provinces of Saada, Hajjah, Amran, Jawf, Mahwit, Sanaa, Dhamar, Raymah, and Ibb.

It also expected light to moderate rainfall in parts of the provinces of Dhale, Al-Bayda, Taiz, North Lahij, Marib, and the Hadhramaut Plateau.

According to the center, the maximum temperatures in the deserts and coastal plains in the west coast may be high, with active winds reaching a maximum speed of 28 knots in the south of the western coast and the entrance of Bab el Mandeb.
