Sanaa, UN discuss steps to build joint operations room to reduce truce violations

SANAA, July. 28 (YPA) – Deputy Head of the Military Committee in Sanaa, Brigadier General Hussein Hashem, discussed on Thursday with representatives of UN in Yemen steps to build the joint operations room to reduce the violations committed by Saudi-led coalition against the UN truce in all fronts.

This came during his meeting with the military advisor to the UN envoy to Yemen, Antony Hayward, and the director of the office of the UN envoy in Yemen.

In the meeting, the deputy head of the committee affirmed that the intransigence of the coalition countries in preventing the entry of devices and equipment for removing mines exacerbated the suffering of citizens.

For his part, the UN official Hayward called on all parties to make the truce a single package in accordance with the terms of the truce and to ensure the alleviation of human suffering.

He praised the role of the Sanaa Military Committee for its clarifications on the violations, expressing his hope that the joint operations room would be a step to limit violations.
