Zionist minister heads to Morocco to sign legal cooperation memorandum

RABAT, Jul. 25 (YPA) – Israeli minister of justice, Gideon Saar, is to start an official visit to Morocco on Monday, during which he will sign a memorandum of legal cooperation between the two sides.

“We welcome the Israeli deputy prime minister and minister of justice, Mr. Gideon Saar, on his first official visit tomorrow to Morocco, at the invitation of his Moroccan counterpart, Abdellatif Wahbi,” the Israeli ambassador to Morocco, David Govrin, said in a tweet on Sunday evening.

He added, “The two parties are expected to sign a joint declaration for legal cooperation between the two countries to modernize and digitize legal systems and cooperation between Sharia courts.”

The Israeli broadcasting corporation said that Saar had already left for Morocco on Monday, without specifying the program of the visit.

Govrin also announced another upcoming visit to Morocco by the Israeli minister of regional cooperation, Issawi Freij.
