ASIR, June 22 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces on Friday launched a counter-attack on sites of Saudi army’s troops and militants in Majaza area in Asir region, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.
The attack led to dozens of dead and wounded among the Saudi army’s militants, the official said.
The army units stationed in west of Majaza area repulsed also a wide-scale infiltration carried out by Saudi-backed militants to retake some locations, according to military sources.
Dozens of the militants were killed and wounded during the repelling operation.
Meanwhile, the army countered another infiltration of the militants off al-Ajasher desert in Najran, which resulted in several dead and wounded in their ranks, as well as destroying a military vehicle belonging to them.
The artillery force of the army bombed sites of the Saudi troops and militants at al-Khadra’a crossing and in al-Ajasher desert, destroying two military vehicles of the militants.
