ADEN, June. 30 (YPA) – A citizen was killed and others, including militants, were wounded in armed clashes erupted in the central city of Aden, south of Yemen.
Local sources affirmed that members of the “Security Belt” militia backed by the UAE stormed the Dar Saad police station militants against the backdrop of their attack that targeted “Al-Karaa” security point of the “Security Belt” and arrested a number of the point’s members.
Other sources said elements of the “Security Belt” militia, with light and medium weapons, stormed the Dar Saad police station, released a number of the station’s soldiers.
Earlier in the day, the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council(STC)’s militia stormed a number of citizens’ homes in Al-Saada neighborhood of Khor Maksar district in Aden, under a pretest of search of the so-called wanted persons, against the background of the attack that targeted the STC security director of Lahj, Saleh Al-Sayed, and led to the killing of 6 and wounding of 7 others, including civilians.
