Deputy PM calls for intensifying efforts to preserve campus of Sanaa Airport

SANAA, Jun. 28 (YPA) – The Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Affairs, Lieutenant-General Jalal Al-Rowishan, on Tuesday stressed the importance of cooperation and intensifying efforts to preserve the lands and campus of Sana’a International Airport.

Lieutenant-General Al-Rowishan, who chairs the Main Technical Committee for Preserving the Sanctuary and Lands of Sanaa Airport, said in a meeting of the committee, “We have a responsibility in the technical committee that must be completed in coordination with the relevant authorities to prevent random construction on the airport’s lands.”

He explained that Sana’a Airport provides humanitarian and air navigation services to all the Yemeni people, pointing out that the random construction on the airport campus is a legal violation that must be prevented and removed for the public interest and Sanaa Airport in particular.
