Yemeni air defenses shoot down UAE aircraft in Red Sea, crew killed

SANAA, June 21 (YPA) – The Yemeni air defenses in the western coast on Thursday brought down an Emirati manned reconnaissance plane in the Red Sea off Jizan coast, killing its crew, a military source told Yemen Press Agency.

The UAE plane was carrying out a reconnaissance task on the western coast, the source added.

The operation came hours after shooting down a spying drone belonging to Saudi-led coalition over al-Dhaher district of Saada province, northern Yemen.
