Egyptian fighter jet crashes during training

CAIRO, Jun. 20 (YPA) – The Egyptian army’s official spokesman announced  that a fighter jet had crashed during exercises on Sunday.

“The fighter jet crashed on Sunday during training due to a technical error, but the pilot survived,” the  military spokesman Gharib Abdel-Hafez said.

The relevant authorities are taking the necessary measures following the crash, the spokesman said, noting that the incident took place at a training area without specifying its exact location.
