Syrian army sends military reinforcements to Aleppo countryside

ALEPPO, Jun. 09 (YPA) – Syrian deployed army reinforcements into the countryside of Aleppo, northern Syria, local media outlets reported.

Social media sites circulated scenes of large reinforcements of the Syrian army entering through the Al-Tayah crossing north of Manbij in the northeastern Aleppo countryside.

Syrian media quoted a field source as saying that the reinforcements included armoured vehicles and other vehicles carrying soldiers.

The troops are supposed to be deployed north of Manbij on the lines between the QSD militia and Turkish-backed armed factions, the source said.

QSD issued a statement carried by media close to the group announcing its intention to coordinate with the Syrian army to repel any possible attack to protect Syrian territory.
