STC accuses “Tariq Saleh” of seeking to control Shabwa oil

ADEN, June.04 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) accused on Saturday the leader, “Tariq Saleh, of seeking to control oil wealth of Shabwa province, east of Yemen.

Prominent journalist in the STC, Mihdhar al-Moallem told , in an intervention with the “Independent Aden TV, that targeting “Shabwa Defense” forces loyal to the “STC” would reflect the extent of the conspiracy against the STC factions in the oil province.

“There are some factions of the STC seeking to strike the strongest components in Shabwa to create the conditions for them to control the oil sources, in a clear reference to Tariq Saleh’s forces, which began during the past few days to control the oil fields in Usailan district of the province.

This coincided with the escalation of targeting military leaders in the STC in Shabwa governorate.
