Israeli settlers attack school in northern West Bank

WEST BANK, May 30 (YPA) – Israeli settlers attacked on Monday a Palestinian school in the northern West Bank, and attacked students and teachers, eyewitnesses said.

The eyewitnesses told Anadolu Agency that a group of settlers attacked a school in the town of “Urif” in the Nablus governorate, and threw stones at it.

They indicated that clashes erupted between residents and settlers, after which the army intervened, using tear gas.

Settlers usually launch attacks against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank.

The Palestinian Authority says that the Israeli authorities “tolerate the aggressor settlers, as part of official efforts to intensify settlements in the occupied territories.”
