Oman, Britain sign joint defense agreement 

MUSCAT, May 28 (YPA) – The Sultanate of Oman announced on Saturday the signing of the Executive Order of the Mutual Defense Agreement with Britain at the Royal Military College Sandhurst, in Camberley, southwest London.

The executive order of the joint defense agreement was signed by Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, and Lieutenant-General Tony Radican, Chief of the British Defense Staff, according to the Oman News Agency.

The signing of the joint defense agreement comes as “a part of the continued efforts of the two countries to strengthen the historical relations of cooperation between them in a number of fields, including the military field,” according to the agency.
