Several tribal gunmen injured by STC fire in Lahj

LAHJ, May 18 (YPA) – A number of the tribal people were injured on Wednesday when the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia opened fire on their car in Al-Anad area of Lahj province, south of Yemen.

According to local sources, the militia fired a barrage of bullets towards the car carrying several members of al-Hawashib tribes, indicating that the area witnessing military tensions between the tribes and the militia.

The sources explained that the militia launched a massive campaign of arrests that targeted many members of the Hawashib tribes, who rallied to Al-Anad area to demand the release of their detained sons.
