Aspects of cooperation discussed between Hodeida port, WFP

HODEIDA, May 19 (YPA) – A meeting of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation was held on Wednesday between the port of Hodeida and the World Food Program (WFP) to discussed aspects of cooperation.

In the meeting, headed by the Vice-Chairman of the Corporation’s Board of Directors, Yahya Abbas Sharaf El-Din who praised the role of the WFP and the humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people in light of the current conditions that the country is going through as a result of the Saudi-led aggression coalition and brutal US-Saudi siege.

The meeting dealt with the nature of the civil and humanitarian work of the Hodeida port and its services provided despite the coalition bombing its mechanisms and preventing the entry of spare parts for its operational equipment with the aim of paralyzing the port’s movement.

In turn, Deputy Director of Logistics of the WFP stressed the Program’s keenness to strengthen partnership and continuous coordination with the Foundation to serve the Yemeni people.
