Coalition commits 4,352 violations of UN armistice in 44 days

PROVINCES, May 16 (YPA) – The US-backed Saudi-led coalition forces continued to violate the humanitarian and military truce in Yemen under the auspices of the United Nations, and the number of violations amounted to 4,352 violations during the past 44 days.

A military source in Sanaa said on Monday that the violations during the past hours amounted to 84 violations, Including a reconnaissance aircraft raid on citizens’ homes and the sites of the army and popular committees in Al-Fakhira area in Dhalea province, and 32 flights of armed reconnaissance and espionage aircraft in the airspace of the Marib, Hajjah, Jawf, Saada, Taiz, and Dhalea provinces.

The source confirmed that the coalition forces have established combat fortifications around the city of Marib.

The coalition forces committed ten violations with artillery shelling on the sites of the army and the popular committees in Al-Tabbah Al-Hamraa in Hawamira area in Taiz, Bani Hassan area in Hajjah, Al-Madan area in Saada, and Al-Fakhira area in Dhalea, according to the source.

The source pointed out that 39 violations with shooting at citizens’ homes and positions of the army and popular committees were recorded in the provinces of Marib, Taiz, Hajjah, Saada, and Dhalea.
