Civilian shot dead by military forces in Taiz

TAIZ, May 16 (YPA) – A citizen was killed on Monday by military forces of Islah Party loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Al-Ma’afer district of Taiz province, southwest Yemen.

Sources said that the military police recruits shot a citizen named “Burhan Al-Qasimi” in Al-Khayami area in Al-Ma’afer, killing him on the spot, and they escaped.

The sources did not indicate the reasons of the accident, noting that the incident comes among the crimes being committed by the forces of Islah group against citizens in Taiz.

Analysts accused Saudi Arabia and the UAE of turning the areas under the control of the coalition into battlefields and a theater for the spread of armed gangs that practice the most heinous violations against citizens with the complicity of security and military forces loyal to Riyadh and Abu Dhabi.
